Mobilegov is seeking a DevOps Subject Matter Expert for a Federal Government project Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be an SME/LEAD Systems Engineer who understands and embraces a DevOps philosophy and has successful experience evaluating technology and implementing DevOps processes. Candidate will work closely with development, operations and security to provide services and utilize automation tools for our government client, specifically rapid and reliable configuration management, as well as continuous integration, build, release and monitoring solutions. Candidate will have autonomy to research, design, implement and launch new tools and services that enable the development team to rapidly deploy new features while maintaining reliability of our operational environment and defining/confirming our technical path forward.

Candidates must have ability to:

  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance and reliability Analyze requirements and determine best fit architecture
  • Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable Effectively prioritize work and complete tasks on time
  • Assist with software and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations and connectivity
  • Provide backup support for administering database and web servers
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, upgrade and use server system hardware
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services Analyze and troubleshoot problems within DevOps tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong Linux system administration experience
  • Strong experience with SCM, CI and CD workflows and tools (SVN, Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, XLDeploy, Artifactory, Maven) Strong experience automating Agile SDLC workflows, including branching / merging, tags, pull requests, release management, and continuous integration builds with automated tests
  • 5+ yrs experience with containerization tools like Docker, LXC
  • 5+ yrs Experience with configuration management tools like SaltStack, Puppet, Chef Ansible Strong scripting/development skills. Python, shell scripting are preferred
  • Experience with Apache, Nginx, HAProxy as reverse proxies Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting JEE apps
  • Strong experience with API’s and web services. REST and JSON experience is preferred Experience with monitoring tools such as TrueSight, Zabbix, Nagios or similar
  • Experience with logging configuration and analysis. Splunk experience is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Linux Administration (RHEL/SE Preferred) Containerization and CI/CD evaluation
  • Configuration management experience (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt, etc) Experience managing and configuring JBOSS, Wildfly or Tomcat web containers Experience managing and configuring Kubernetes
  • Experience with Oracle DB, JBoss Fuse, BPM frameworks
  • Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket, JIRA and other Atlassian tools Experience with IDE’s, such as IntelliJ, Eclipse or similar
  • Experience with SPLUNK and TrueSight Oracle/NoSQL experience
  • Experience with cloud based services (AWS, Azure, PAAS)

Educational Requirements (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
